Artist's Description

Between conquering the air and reaching a detente with the sea was the era of the iron horse. This too was an evolution and progress of technology, from the small single man clankers of the 1800s and on. Was it ignorance, lack of fear, or confidence in the dawning of man's domination of physical engineering?

Regardless, this shot continues the series of the contrast between the human machine, delicate and organic vs the human-made machine, a fierce brute of fire and ore.
